About Us
The fashion event held in 2019 Milan was a nothing short of a grand success. The event witnessed participation from multiple colleges in and around Chennai. Each participant performed with utmost zeal and zest. There was a very healthy yet competitive spirit amongst the participants. The theme of the event was ‘Diversity in unity’. This was a very colorful and well chosen theme, since it displayed various cultures from not only our country, India but also from around the world.
This Milan
This theme was very well represented by all the participating teams with enthusiasm and creativity. From the cultures of Spain to the interior parts of Indian villages, the theme was perfectly justified in all its glory. The judge of the event was none other than fbb colors Femina miss India runner up Shreya Rao. Shreya Rao has claimed her fame by winning the runner up position in one of the most prestigious pageants in our country. The winner of these pageants go on to represent the country on international platforms. The winner of miss India goes on to represent the nation for Miss World.
The event was started by host performance. Host performance was performed by the SRM main team, these students have brought laurels to the institute by winning various competitions and hence making a name for themselves in the college.
Offline Events
The very first theme was LED where students adorned themselves with various LED lights in order to put on a show worth remembering. The second theme was florals where our beautiful girls and handsome boys walked the ramp with floral outfits. To bring about a contrast an ethnic theme was incorporated. The girls and boys adorned royal outfits depicting the rich Indian heritage. Following this each team performed and showcased their talent in front of the zealous audience and honorable judges. The performance from each team deserved appreciation. The final round of competition was to chose Miss Milan and Mr. Milan to award students for their individual participation. With this the event was wrapped up and prizes were given to the deserving candidates.
