About Us

Bleeding in blue, the literary club has always believed and revelled in the strength of words, to change the world, to make it a better place to reside in and recognise that we have miles to go in this ever changing era and the many millennia to come. An imperative aspect of our lives, literature has shaped and created history and legacies. With prolific writers like Chaucer, playwrights like Shakespeare, infamous writers known for works that were way ahead of their times, like Virginia Wolfe, poets that wrote of not just the mundane, but the obscure too, like Sylvia Plath, Robert Frost, we could go on for hours of the beauty of literature.

Our Motive

In the famous words of Robin Williams, “Medicine, Law, Business, Engineering, these are all noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.”

But while it is important and necessary for us to pay homage to all the great writers, orators of the centuries come and gone, it is even more important for us to recognise the ones in the making, right here, under us. It is time that we recognise the budding legacies of our very own campus, and give them a platform, for their voices to ring loud and clear.

Our
Events

A roster of events you might have never heard of before, the Literary Club offers you innumerable avenues to try out your specific niche. Do you think you have it in you to debate the best? We have for you The British parliamentary debate. Or maybe, you’re prolific for your poker face and impeccable lines, delivered right on time, even on live TV? We have for you, Coffee with Milan. And this is just a small glimpse of what is set in store for you. If your words burn like an inferno in and around you, the Milan’20 literary club is perfect for you. Burning in blue, bright as the flames around, the literary club is but a small part of this multi-coloured and multi-faceted kaleidoscope, that we call Milan. An amalgamation of a plethora of events, a plethora of domains, the literary club is just the first.
